I found your post to be very considered and respectful. Unlike the others I have received. You stated that:

"The Clinton affair is attempting to to this in conjunction with the implementation of one of the constitutions rules. For sure the president is in no court and is not on trial in the legal sense. Yet the president as the head of a form of government is on trial in the court that protects that government and all who live under it's rule."

The rule itself, if I understand correctly, is a gray area. What is a High Crime and a Misdemeanor? I do not think the framers of the constitution meant that a president could be removed from office for lying under oath about an affair. As abhorant as we might find that behavior it is not a threat to the country. This is obviously my opinion as I have never talked to any of them. But I am sure they meant the Impeachment rule to be a safeguard against a president run amok who was inflicting damage to the country. I guess this is where we differ. You see what is happening as damaging and I don't. I think it is political.

Only time will tell if we have crossed a line with this whole mess that sends our country into turmoil. I think the process is working and people have decided that this is not what the impeachmnet rule was intended for. And I do not see abuses rising out of that decision.

Thank you for your considered response and time,
