That story, that second one there, is a little bizarre, even I admit. I was trying to think thru the implications of my assumptions, and just had to give up because it got too hard, and there they are. So I just sort of flipped out and got frustrated and elected to scold, which is how I usually react to an overload. Lash out, you know. Divert. Hurt someone. S.O.P. BTW, we're not laughing at you, Penni. We're laughing at your failings.

Hi penni, I am late to the party, my wrists have been killing me, and I have been en famille, but I wanted to say that I understood everything you said and I agreed with you. I understand Gauguin's perspective, too, but in this case, I agree with you. They really need their dinner before their cake. They also need their mother to tell them that. Some day, when they have their own house, then they can eat cake without dinner. Let them have something to look forward to.
