MUEI okay.. I was thinking perhaps I was 'qualifying' some of the picks as fundamentally sound when they should not have been.. thanks. Trouble is now there is a group of stocks whose estimates are revised downwards.. the stock tanks (50% or more) by the time the earnings report comes around the stock has rebounded on 'expectation' of a better report, it either fulfills that expectation (stock goes up more) or it doesnt (MUEI first day after report) these are usually the 'poor severely beaten down' group, but in some cases like MUEI that are actually been improving all along and are closer to their 52 week high than perhaps it deserves to be. Paradoxically the more beaten down they are, the better bets they are for short term or position trades around earnings date. But these are not 'classic' earnings plays.. and for less seasoned traders stocks like these are risky holding through earnings.
