No news yet, but it would be very surprising if they do not announce a stock split in Jan. My bet is 3-1, or even 4-1 if the stock keeps rising in Jan.

If I had to pick a more specific timeframe, I would choose on or just before the date that lockup shares are released for sale - around 1/21/98. Like Amazon.com management, Ebay management seems very interested in maintaining and increasing the share price. I would not be surprised if Ebay lifts a page from the business bible that Bezos wrote by timing the stock split announcement with the lockup shares release. Result: a stock price that rises to 400 by 1/21, and then keeps on rising beyond that.
