1) Internet security is found to be grossly inadequate after two 10 year olds, who obtain PCs for Christmas, hack though the encryption software one of the big five internuts and are found to have hard drives full of credit card numbers belonging to e-commerce users. The boys indicate they successfully broke the code within 24 hours of their initial attempts. This event, vividly illustrating the weak security algorithms, causes a collapse of all companies using any sort of e-commerce over the net. Many small investors are unable to dump their shares quickly enough because the banks and brokers shut down on-line trading to protect vulnerable transactions. Dateline March 15, 1999.

Auric,

Interesting contest.

"Why" is obvious..."when" is difficult. Let me offer how
I would play it. I would put your 5K award money into 4
IIX.X Feb 510p. A lot of good stocks in IIX including
CSCO, AOL, YHOO, CMGI and SUNW. However, profit will come out of
these stocks and a test of breakout point by Feb is possible.
5K funny money trade...no worry no sleepless night.
A better play would be on an index of the lesser internet
players. Pity, these is no such index.

Regards.
Michael
