If one looks at where most Internet stocks are trading today...one would shake their head in disbelief based on any DD or "fundamentals" available to the investor.

MZON was up $52 today....NOT on fundamentals or DD.

Same for EBAY, AMZN, ONSL and others in past month or so.

It is agreed. DD is not accurate in judging stocks to invest in. There lies the misnomer in the people's thinking of doing their DD and looking at the missing fundamentals as the priority in investing in DGIV.

the "moral" difference is not in the method of investing/trading.if someone can make money daytrading, then all the power to him/her. The same is true with a long-term investor. I certainly have no qualm with either method.

my "objection" comes from the "pablo escobars" of the thread (don't you remember him?). He is a poster who appeared on the thread when DGIV share price was high, making "negative' posts while loudly and publicly protesting that he is just a "concerned" poster with NO ulterior motive! (of course we all know what he was doing!LOL"
several days later, he appeared again, this time stating that he was actually a shorter who was lying initially just to scare people to make money! (At least he came out and admitted it after he has covered!!)

therein lies the difference in the ways of 'making money', IMO.
