London--Dec 24--BRIDGE OUTLOOK 99: Gold and the 3 bears: Already near 19-
and-a-half-year lows, a fairy tale recovery in the gold price looks remote
as a trio of lurking sellers--central banks, producers and hedge funds--
still threaten to pounce on any sign of life. Once desired by all, gold is
now a long way from the "just right" investment of choice and looking ahead
to 1999 the market still looks too soft, and the weight of bearishness too
hard, to allow any sustained rally. By Miranda Maxwell, Bridge News, Story
