NO.. a warrant is LIKE an option. The company that issues a warrant usually specifies a number of conditions to be pre-existing before the warrant can be exercised. There are no "put" warrants that i am aware....

warrants have a time expiration and a conversion price,as they are simply rights to convert the warrant to stock.(usually to give the shareholder a "bonus" for holding on)
anyone can write options, only the company can ISSUE warrants.
