Happy Holidays IQ,

I have a question. When buying protective puts, do you prefer
index options to options on individual issues. In a sharp decline
which will give you the greatest leverage, the Index or the
puts on individual issues. I've been successful on playing the
upside with calls on individual issues, 500 percent gains have
not been unusual (don't laugh, Microsoft, Lucent, Nok.a).

Will index options give these kinds of returns with the types
of moves in the markets we've had?
