As reported on CNBC, Computer Sciences is about to announce several HUGE e-commerce deals...what they didn't mention is that CSC is a partner of BVSN and uses their software to deploy e-commerce solutions: CSC Turns to E-Business Information Week December 14, 1998 Excerpts: Computer Sciences Corp. will launch an extensive electronic-business practice this week, joining the trend of large integrators helping clients leverage their existing IT infrastructures to bring business processes online. CSC E-Business Solutions, which formalizes and expands work that CSC is already doing, will provide 125 dedicated consultants focusing on five E-business subpractices: customer asset management, electronic bill presentment and payment, collaborative supply-chain processes, Web-based procurement, and secure extranets. CSC has set aggressive revenue goals for the practice-$100 million in the current fiscal year ending in March 1999, and $300 million in the following 12 months.... CSC will incorporate applications from five software vendors in some of its E-business subpractices: CSC will use applications from BroadVision for relationship marketing and an internally developed program for knowledge management, two subpractices scheduled to launch next year. Although E-business has been a hot topic for more than a year, observers say CSC isn't late to market. "Late doesn't really apply in this space," says Bill Martorelli, an analyst at the Hurwitz Group. "E-business jobs have gotten much broader in terms of back-end integration, making them much more attractive to the Big Five consultants and the big integrator.
