Rman,

Glad to hear you've been, uh, enjoying the character-building Michigan winter weather.

Actually, we laid all this on for your benefit. Up until a week or so ago Michigan had the most amazing Fall weather. I mowed the lawn one last time after Thanksgiving. A couple of weeks ago, we did our Christmas tree shopping in 65-degree weather -- all the while worrying about the slackening of moral fiber, the decline in intellectual rigor (and third-tier biotechs), etc. -- but then when word reached Michigan that you were about to visit, it was thought that we should treat you to a spell of the chastening weather you'd expect.

>>The VD thread is only a success because of the crowd that keeps it alive.<< Absolutely. Warmest Holiday greetings to you, Rick Harmon, V1, Peter Suzman, and all the rest of the team that keeps this inspiring thread going.
