Bob, thank you for posting the article and JDN, you hit precisely on a few points in the article that did not appear to go together to me, either.

To paraphrase what you said, if EMC is the dominant force in the industry and EMC itself sees revenues increasing three fold by 2001, how can the author of the article come up with a 27% long term growth for EMC? The only way I can figure out coming up with a 27% growth rate is if by 'long' he means l-o-n-g, as in over 10 years [in with the 300% increase for the next three years gets diluted].

This article just has too much conflicting information. It almost sounds like an article written by someone who has a large short position in EMC [disclaimer: I have no idea one way or the other if the author/source has positions in securities written about].
