this was news to me. anyone have knowledge of this company/care to comment? do they make the chips a la BRCM or something else? ____________________________________ The other IPO filing came from Terayon Communications, a Santa Clara, Calif., start-up that makes cable modem systems. Terayon filed to sell 3 million shares, but has not yet set a price range. According to Terayon's filing, the company had sales of $18.8 million in the first nine months of 1998, and a net loss of $17.8 million. In the comparable period the year before, Terayon lost $14.4 million on $755,000 in revenue. The company's accumulated deficit is $78.9 million. The risks inherent in the offering have to do with cable Internet access, a service that is not yet widely available, and Terayon's dependence on three customers for the bulk of its sales (65 percent in the first nine months of 1998). Those customers are Shaw Communications, Cablevision, and Sumitomo. Terayon stock will trade under the ticker symbol TERN.

ahhaha, I take a road less travelled by,and that has made all the difference in the world. Congrats on ATHM,though I think 300 times sales is a little rich for my blood. Look at this chart,now ATHM and HLIT follow the same pattern exactly(at least over the last 100 days). HLIT is gonna kick some cable ass! I love going with the underdog,I love testing my faith.
