Reminds me of the time we had to log our way through a grove of rhododendron bushes that must have been 10 feet high. Took chain saws and half a day to hack a line through all that brush. Up near Mapleton, I think. Maybe a hundred yards of rhodies sliced in two, pretty cool when it was done and cleared, on the upper end opened up into pretty ancient new growth, maybe 100 year old trees, probably turned into California townhomes by now.

A good, not expensive champagne is Chateau St. Michelle Blanc de Blanc. Also good but harder to find is Varichon et Clair. It is around $11.00; the St. Michelle is $9.00.

I await the pictures of your cats, as does Pewter.
