I adjusted my portfolio a month ago, during the prior buying opportunity -- when the 3Q showed disappointing quarterly revenue, and the Panretin approvable letter had not yet arrived. (I'd sold at an earlier high. It felt a little like re-financing the mortgage.)

At that time in late November, I tested the support level with limit orders.

Not many shares sold for under $10, and I couldn't get any. Had to pay $10.
The warrants held tighter, on very low volume. I managed to get 500 at $4 3/8 in one account, but my bid for 1000 in another account wouldn't fill.

It's encouraging that so far this time around, while we drift a little waiting for news -- and despite the market's knowledge that revenue will be low again for 4Q -- the trading range is staying higher, and the volume is staying low.

IMO, it's reasonable to expect that many things will come together for Ligand during 1999, or maybe not until 2000 -- since there are so many uncontrollable variables that NO one can predict.

Meanwhile, good luck to all you posters, lurkers, and internuts -- whatever your investment style -- and thanks for contributing your insights and (especially) facts to the discussion.
