Paul, the price drop in K6-2 products may be in response to Intel supposedly preparing to drop the price on their Celeron products with the introduction of new Celeron products...a reference was posted earlier in the news category...here goes:

Re: "Anybody have any idea why these prices are dropping so fast?"

I'm guessing the K6-2 450 will be announced first week of January.

Paul - RE: "Anybody have any idea why these prices are dropping so fast?"

Historically, AMD chip prices at Pricewatch always do down prior to the official announcement by AMD.

Paul:

<<That is a $41 drop - 22% - since MONDAY , Dec. 21 !

Look out below ! What is happening here?

The 350 MHz K6-2 has also dropped from $114 to $108 since Monday.

Anybody have any idea why these prices are dropping so fast?>>

Because yield on the 400MHz is less than 1%!
