Putting stock certificates into the PP buyers hands is does not mean they cannot short.

Yes you are correct.... but assuming the shareholders find "shooting themselves in the foot" disdainful....I believe it will help significantly. Of course depositing those certificates with your broker require requesting the broker to maintain them separated from stocks held and collectively controlled by the brokerage for the purposes of shorting by other brokerages.

Correct me if I am wrong... but aren't only market makers and Canadian brokerages capable of shorting a BB stock??... like that isn't enough of a problem in and by itself<g>
