Agreed that the two Auctioneers are completely different. But just a thought about todays huge selloff. For one, it went up to fast. Thats a given. So there was bound to be some profit taking by those of us who rode it into the 180's. But considering its Christmas Eve, I think a lot of it was a combination of the expected profit taking triggering a lot of stops set by holiday travelers.I for one left the house with a stop set in case it tanked while I was away. I seriously doubt anyone else holding this stock took off to Grandmas house without their stop set either. With the combination of the two, and then of course the panic of investors watching it all. BOOM 121.Not to say that this cant go further down. It very well may.But there was a lot of buying going on between 119 and 121 right before the market closed. Either way , I think its best to stand on the sidelines and see whats next for UBID.Just something to think about . Merry Christmas SL

All these companies are hype and no fundementals. I bought UBID at 33......watched it close at 188 yesterday, put a stop loss at 170 since I was on vacation......sold at 167 1/8 today.......oh well I will take the 500%..so long UBID.....although I am still holding to my 300 shares of AMZN, I am up too much on them not to worry, and will keep my Aol ( third time I rebuy :) ), especially they have been added to the S&P 500..expect yahoo to announce 3-1 split jan8, and both AMZN and YHOO to be added to the S&P 500 later 99. I Bought a ton of PSFT at 17+, this stock reminds of oracle few months ago.......I will not buy anymore stocks this year as I expect a retreat in MID Jan. Merry christmass and good luck all.

OFF TOPIC

IMO, the next internet stock to perform like EBAY will be MLRE. This is the most unique thing since YHOO. It has the right people and connections. It will draw people from all walks of life and hence, it will draw tremendous advertising dollars -- this is why it will go up like EBAY. Check out the thread and the stock. It is at the VERY beginning. Regards.

I remain,

SOROS

ps GEEK will also be the only stock to take second place to AOL. It has risen, but, IMO, it is also very early in its existence.

pps CUST is also VERY unique and has the right guy to pull off their business plan. If he does, it will also follow the EBAY rise in stock price.
