THC, I do not know how low the PM sector is going to go, but if this world deflation stays around much longer, who knows. I wonder if Buffet used the rally to $7 he instigated to unload his own position, if not, he is heavily under water on this one.

I have never been a "goldbug", but one must admit that current prices for the yellow and the white are starting to look attractive. If I heard of silver mines closing due to lack of profitability, I would be more inclined to jump in. Yet, I do not think this deflationary period will last beyond the middle of the year, mostly because the Japanese stimulus package will start and show some impact, IMHO, and confidence will return slowly slowly to the Japanese consumer. Once that happens, there are stores of liquidity to be "released" there and a sharp recovery (and with it demand for commodities) will ensue.

Gee, that is the most bullish I have been on that sector in my two and half years of posting on SI.
