Jack, sounds logical. Maybe you're right.

Also, I would imagine that different firms have different
forecasts for the economy. Some probably think that tech
growth has peaked out for a while, while others think that
tech growth will be stronger than anticipated in the next
2 quarters.

The frustrating part, is I don't care if they downgrade, but
what's the d*mn reason? Couldn't they put out
a reason as most do? Then we can judge on its merits.

Anyways, AGEdwards may not be any big deal in the big picture
here anyway...

Merry Christmas,
joe

3Com Chairman Waxes Bullish On PC, Networking
(12/24/98, 12:36 p.m. ET)
By Marcia Savage, Computer Reseller News
3Com chairman Eric Benhamou credited a robust PC and networking market with producing the company's better-than-expected results for its second fiscal quarter.

"We did not notice any slowdown in demand for personal computers or network products, which are the two fundamental growth drivers in our market," said Benhamou in a conference call with financial analysts on Dec. 22.

When asked about distributor Ingram Micro's warning of flat PC sales in the fourth quarter during the conference call, Benhamou said, "We've not noticed any disruption of the sort."
