Has anyone compared AMZN's market cap to companies such as MSFT and IBM. For example, at what price would AMZN take away the #1 spot from Gates?

With 2.5 billion shares outstanding, and trading at about $141/share, MSFT has a market cap of about $352Billion.

With about 52.8 million shares outstanding, AMZN would have to trade at about $6,666/share to generate a market cap equal to that of MSFT.

REPORTS

Will Carrier Multiservice Networks Deliver What They Promise?
THE NEW PUBLIC NETWORK
Network Report, Maribel Lopez, December 1998
forrester.com

Carriers plan to merge all of their networks onto a single
multiservice network to save money, but the complexity of merging
networks diminishes savings. Rather than merging networks, carriers
should build the New Public Network, a new high-performance,
high-reliability network optimized for IP.
