. . . and to the countless lurkers that have sent me email and PMs. . .

Happy Hanukkah to all our Jewish friends.

And to our Christian friends:

In Jerusalem lived a man named Simeon who was a good man and godly. He was waiting for the time when God would take away Israel's sorrow, and the Holy Spirit was in him. Simeon had been told by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he saw the Christ promised by the Lord.
The Spirit led Simeon to the Temple. When Mary and Joseph brought the baby Jesus to the Temple to do what the law said they must do, Simeon took the baby in his arms and thanked God:

. . "Now, Lord, you can let me, your servant, die in peace as
. . you said. With my own eyes I have seen your salvation, which you
. . prepared before all people. It is a light for the non-Jewish
. . people to see and an honor for your people, the Israelites."

Jesus' father and mother were amazed at what Simeon had said about him.

Luke Chapter 2 verses 25 -33 [NCV]

MERRY CHRISTMAS

TO EVERYONE: May the Lord bless your lives, guide your paths and protect your families.

How fast and how much the oil/gas stocks move has a lot to do with what happens with Asian demand. We are early on the oils. But, the big picture is a lot of turmoil if the producing nations do not get some relief, and a higher price is the simple route.

I think that soon we can go short some of the retail industry, a few I-nuts included. My reasoning is simple, they will have, after this quarter, stinky earnings, as the last big wave of buying is now over.
And Joe six pack will flip when the next wave of credit card bills hit....At some point, he runs out of credit...
Actually, I'm thinking about going short the S&P 500 futures again, just like I did when Goldman announced they were going public, right before the last huge dump. My reasoning here is just as simple, as the FED is already pulling up, stunned by the market froth. Inflation is here, just in the form of housing, health care, and stocks. My thinking is the FED, which is stuck about 5 years back, is now getting a clue. I have pals that did 125% mortgages, only to put that money in stocks. They have never taken a penny back out, so if they are on the wrong side of the next move, they are in serious trouble.

In the meantime, there are always good day, week, and position trades out there, for those that can handle the risk.
