James,

But I heard that approximately 14 Million shars of AOL would have to be sold by the S&P mid Cap Funds whose managers would have to sell AOL since it is leaving the Mid cap index. Also CNBC's Dave Faber was saying that there are rumors that AOL might offer more shares for sales directly to the index funds.

I don't know what will happen. I am only hoping that the small investors do not get hurt. I feel that's why AOL has not risen any further since the initial announcement exitement subsided. I hope I am wrong. Long AOL.

Great post, James. If the other fund managers are using Sauter's approach, next Thursday should be incredible for aol share holders <g>. Or maybe the market will discount the event by running up 20 or 30 points by Wednesday's close <vbg>.

Thanks, Santa,
Frank
