*** OT *** robbie, I was interested in your comment since csco is a recent addition to my core holdings. How do you think csco is currently valued? Do you think a return to the 40s is possible?

Frank

Robbie,

You are quite right. This strategy involves a considerable risk and a strong stomach. I did not buy CSCO when it was in the 40's early October, but I bought more DELL instead (VBG). Although I am using OPM, it is by no means with no strings attached. Part of my account is frozen to the tune of $ 20,000 cash (10 contracts @ $ 2,000) until expiry. I will not so this to any of those Internut stocks due to the high risk, but some selected stocks I do expect will continue to do well in 1999 (DELL, CSCO, MSFT, INTC). A backup plan is as I posted earlier: roll the put further down, and we can do that again and again with the caveat of the above margin requirement.

I do not suggest that the strategy is for everybody. I just happen to like it. Time will tell if it is a profitable move.

Paul.
