Amigos, trying to look at other stocks besides internets these days is hard I agree, I am into a couple pretty good and have been devoting almost all my time to them, thought this weekend I would take a break and look around a bit. I am thinking this Digital Versatile Disk (DVD )thing could be big. Anybody out there know anything about DVD or any companies positioned to get a jump on the expanding market. One I have been looking (should have been buying instead of looking) at is Metatec (META), an international information distribution company, helps customers utilize CD-ROM and
DVD-ROM technologies to publish and distribute information and software. Metatec operates
ISO-9002 certified manufacturing and fulfillment sites in Dublin, Ohio; Fremont, Calif. and Breda,
The Netherlands. Metatec offers its customers a variety of services including data preparation and
mastering, optical disc replication and printing, packaging, bulk distribution and individual fulfillment,
inventory management, project management and a variety of electronic monitoring and tracking
services. The company maintains sales and customer support offices throughout the United States
and in Europe. Metatec is traded over Nasdaq under the symbol ''META.'' The company's web
site is www.metatec.com.

Insiders 12.05% - Insiders have been buying just below the current price.

''The key event for the quarter was the completion of our acquisition of Imation Corp.'s CD-ROM
services business assets,'' said Jeffrey M. Wilkins, chairman, chief executive officer and president.
''With additional capacity recently brought online, the acquisition more than doubles Metatec's
manufacturing capacity.''

There numbers have been increasing but the cost of the acquisition has me wondering if they are not overextending themselves. IMO they are positioning themselves in the DVD market and this can only help. From last years 10K (Product Concentration. Revenues from the sale of CD-ROM products and services constituted
substantially all of the Company's revenues for 1997)

Price has almost doubled in the last couple of months, if they can hold 6 1/2 they could continue there move up if not? Small float.

Anyone have any thoughts on DVD.

Monday is internet day.
