dear pat, merry christmas from vancouver island! i've had it in my mind to send you a message but pretty hectic last few days. anyway, thanks for all your efforts on nn. i have learned a lot about the company but i've also learned a lot about investing from you. your patience and the power of your conviction are excellent traits to have. i have learned to be more patient and it has been rewarding. in a year when the tse is down 4% i'm up 17. due to rrsp restrictions we can only have 20% foreign which probably limits my results. i am pleased with the results. as for the old turtle, thank you for an amazing story. i will try to get it for my little ones because my own beliefs are closely aligned with those in the story. it was somewhat of a deja vu to read. the book reminds me of one i'm currently reading called Conversations with God' by neale donald walsch. my guess is you have at least heard of it and possibly read it. all the best of the season and may 1999 bring you health, happiness, and prosperity. greg
