Congra had a meat packing plant in my home town in Central Wisconsin. My sister worked there on the clean up crew for awhile. Many of the women on the crew were getting sick. My sister told her doctor what was on two of the labels on drums of cleaning chemicals where she worked and she was told mixing the two created a very toxic gas. When she went back and told her supervisor about it she was harangued for interfering. No apology from the company or admission of wrong.

There was so much ill will locally against the company that For labor they imported minority workers from Milwaukee and when they needed a waste dump outside of town to process their sludge, nobody would sign on to having it in their vicinity and the plant had to close. Conagra still owns the facility but it is empty. They are a scumbag company if there ever was one.
