Today there was coverage on CNN of this happening in San Mateo County, California. Yup. Tom Campbell is responsible for a lot of the outrage in N. Ca (he is Santa Clara county not San Mateo but no matter). He didnt handle his impeachment vote well in the press. He tried to give some legal definitions of why it was technically impossible for him not to vote for impeachment but the media simply countered his claims with some Hastings law people that said it wasnt true. If you are going to vote against your consituency on an important topic like this, dont claim your opponent is "out to get you" or it was something that couldnt be avoided, your hands were tied etc. That just causes more anger. He should have just made a public statement that he voted his conscience like everybody else. He still would have faced major competition in 2000 for bad judgement but right now people think hes a really slimy worm. He used to be held in high regard. Michelle
