For the record, I went back and looked at my October brokerage statement and found the spinoff info as of 10/26/98. They still don't appear on the account but that does make me beleive that they will be coming whether you said subsequent or not.

I believe the company is Medo, and I think they're Canadian, but don't quote me on that. Anyway, they do virtually 99% of all the auto air fresheners you see anywhere. Most of them are pretty tacky. I suspect they actually distribute the AdHatters products, but that's only a hunch.

I've long wondered if they might not be a candidate for buying out AdHatters at some point, as the latter's products are quite a bit more attractive and eye-appealing, whereas Medo clearly has the majority of the mass market.

It would seem the perfect match: not only would Medo be eliminating competition, however small, they'd arguably be getting some better product designers in the bargain.

Maybe 1999 (or KZAP) will finally tell.
