American Interactive Media To Launch Affinity Internet Shopping Service

New York, NY - December 1, 1998 - American Interactive Media, Inc. (OTC BB: AIME; aime-inc.com) announced today a major step in its Internet and e-commerce initiatives with the planned early 1999 launch of an Internet shopping service for the Preferred Consumer Network (PCN), a membership-based discount shopping service with nearly 500,000 fee-paying members across the U.S. The PCN relationship represents the first affinity agreement to result from AIME's September 30th strategic alliance with MMG Direct. The service will also be integrated into all of AIME's custom Internet portals which will be marketed to members of other MMG Direct affinity organizations which collectively have over 30 million active members.

The PCN Internet shopping service is slated to be the definitive shopping site for discounts and will enable PCN members to buy 100,000s of products and services such as books at Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN), CDs and cassettes at CDnow.com (NASDAQ:CDNW), travel at previewtravel.com (NASDAQ:PTVL), toys at eToys.com, cars at autobytel.com as well as prescription drugs, car insurance and other services at "member-only" pricing. PCN members will also gain access to proprietary content such as "PCN Insider Savings Tips," "Hot Deals," "Smart Money Investment Tips," and a PCN electronic newsletter as well as stock quotes, web-based e-mail and popular content directories.

Members will be notified of the new Internet-based shopping service through package inserts and through quarterly newsletter mailings to all PCN members. PCN members without Internet access will be mailed a PCN Internet access CD-ROM, and subscribers who sign up for PCN's Internet access will automatically visit the PCN web site each time they connect to the Internet.
