JDEC is toxic waste.

First of all, they AREN'T a viable ERP company.

Second, their technology is fundamentally flawed, i.e. light years away from both Web enablement and UNIX/RDBMS viability. Imagine tables with so many columns the rows don't fit in 4K blocks. Pass this along to your DBA all you JDEC prospects.

Third, JDEC hasn't got a clue how to handle data in a large multinational firm so they are resigned to small, single site orgs. They'll never sell successfully into any multinational org over about $100M in sales that plans to grow beyond this outside the borders of their existing currency. Yes JDEC I see IBM on your client list. I'm sure the AS400 division at IBM loves your product, but the parent company isn't running it as their backbone accounting/mfg software. No way in hell. They'd have about as much success with Peachtree. If the AS400 rep at IBM can also sell RS6000s you are good as dead!

Fourth, I have a meeting with the Director of Oracle Applications next week to explain in DETAIL exactly WHY Oracle should never lose a sale to these guys. Oracle has built a very sound mid market group. What they need it good tactical information to crush JDEC and Lawson. Having spent 2 years at a large failed JDEC site I am in a position to give Oracle what they want -- reasons their prospects should STAY AWAY from JDEC.

Cheers JDEC longs. You'll need some stiff ones.

P.S. No I am not short JDEC. More money to be made elsewhere. It will never go to zero, but I can see $15.
