PoorRich --- If you think IE is good WAIT UNTIL you download Netscape Communicator. I use it and IBM is my ISP--- extremely pleased.

Opinions on AOL/ATHM merger sought.

I was wondering what people on this board think will happen with ATHM and AOL? AOL@home does have a nice ring to it. I think it would be a match made in heaven. Could it be that the 12% jump in ATHM in the last session is a sign that a deal is in the works? Or does the majority here thinks that a future deal with TWX's RR is more likely? I am interested in hearing your opinions. Take care.

thanks for your comments on xdsl and cable modems........lots t happen in that environment still.
Your problems regarding aol 4.0 may be due to some corrupted files. I have been using 4.0 for about 1 year and have not really had any problems. At times files can get corrupted which will boot you off, but to remedy that problem you just need to refresh the software and the problems go away. I can't remember the last time I was disconnectred. Your comment regarding how much you like IE is a plus for aol. thats who is embedded in the software. Its just hidden but IE is the default browser. Not suppose to change after the merger either. Aol wants to keep buddy, buddy with msft for that business and will use nscp to develop their commercial business which is where nscp is strong already
