Sig and thread,

Short interest on Dell declined from 35.8 million to 28.0 million as of 12-15-98, a drop of 21 percent (see table in Monday's IBD), clearly a very bullish sign.

regards,
mazman

OT and not OT
Thanks Sig and I am happy that you got back safely home on those icy roads.
Dell calls...good idea.
GEEK: I put in a sell order at $59+ since I cannot get to the computer on Monday, will be at the car shop and relatives cant pick me up until evening so will bus into Salt Lake and look at the malls, Temple square, etc. Fido made me do it via the phone ($90 commission) because their software wont allow you to put in a limit order to sell $5 or 30% above the last stock price. If it executes, I'll be a happy camper even with the commission (a double because I bought it around 29.) I agree the DELL calls are a better bet anything longer term than a day or two. I also agree with Voltaire that GEEK will be up for Monday because all the internut traders that were too busy to "play" it the day before Christmas will probably be "playing" it Monday and/or Tuesday. And "playing" it is. DELL is the "investment".
I appreciate your comments.
I appreciate everyone's help.
I hope I am becoming a better trader AND investor.
Dell is still over 50% of my loooooooong term holdings.
