You beat me to it. The Bonobo chimpanzee. I guffawed when Channel 9 ran the unexpurgated films of Bonobo life on Sunday prime time. Man, those babes (Bonobimbos?) is ugly.
Apparently the only taboo Bonobos have is that once a male hits a certain age, he no longer, uhm, interacts with his mommy.

I didn't know about the Bonobo Chimps. An exception, perhaps, but the rule remains pretty generally true. Masturbation and attempted sex don't count - I'm talking about actual consensual sex, out of estrus, purely for the fun of it. A male dog will attempt to hump a female out of heat, but he's not likely to get very far. And the list of species where the two genders practically ignore each other out of heat periods is pretty long.
