Ed,

I agree completely. In return for $70B taxpayers get more public TV and 5 minute slots for politicians. What a deal. I guess that's what happens when you have Democrats and Republicans running the country. For $70B you or I or anyone reading this thread could probably build a fairly respectable company that could build and sell state of the art digital TVs right here in the USA - instead of turning the technology and innovation over to others. Not that I'm a nationalist, but it would seem if you are a politician you would think keeping high tech engineering and manufacturing jobs in your taxpayer base would at least be in your own self interest.
