#1 I think that there will be a gradual slowing of the rise of the Tulip stocks. There is still a lot of optimism and I don't think that reality is going to set in quickly. I predict that around September 1, 1999, computer geeks working on Y2K problems worldwide will suddenly start to worry where they will be working in the year 2000 since they will have achieved the goal of every good libertarian in politics, which is to have worked themselves out of a job. They will stop pouring their extra cash into Internet stocks, and start investing in government bonds.
