Pezz, do you mean the same sort of dishonesty that say's everyone who supports Republicans supports killing abortion doctors and Jerry Falwell? :-) The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze me! :-) Michael

Pezz, first off I agree completely with your post regarding this ludicrous connection some are trying to make between liberals and Larry Flynt. Having said that, first I think you should rent the movie, its very good actually starring Woody Harrelson and Courtney Love. Courtney Love was cast perfectly but Woody was miscast imo. The 2 themes in the movie were first, to show how the porn establishment (mostly Playboy) in the past was elitist and catered to the higher income groups with their articles and their selection and pictures of the women (I still think that is true, btw, because so many Playboy centerfolds become film stars). Flynt recognized an opportunity that Playboy wasnt addressing which happened to be represented by his friends and lifestyle. The second thing in the movie was his relationship with the Courtney Love character who became his wife. She eventually died from aids (a tragic figure herself but nonetheless her death came as a result of knowing him I think). So, this is a good movie and these are 2 interesting parts of Flynts life. However, a huge part of his success which is promoting violence against women, was in no way discussed in this movie, as if it didnt exist. So anybody that sees this is not going to see the real Flynt which is too bad. There is one very famous picture from hustler that is the epitome of disgusting sexual violence, I will try to find it on the web and send it to you in a PM (Ive sure youve seen it - everybody has - but you probably dont know where it originated).
