" It is hard to figure all this Bobby. If a guy really thought some of these big companies
were raking in obscene profits then a guy should have all his money in the stocks" ...
I think you typified "everyman".. thinking of your own survival needs rather than how down the road how these things will effect everyone..just not the farmer..I guess goldsnow is right..survival in the jungle..eat before one is eaten..
I guess I would prefer citizens to start questioning this financial boom time..I heard on tv that the wealth in this country is controlled by 1 percent..I think Greenspan's and rubin's policies and the other financial bigwigs have helped further cultivate this phenomenon..
the wealth effect for the little guy probably has a lot to do with the stock market bubble..
I have repeatedly heard that so many of the new jobs are high tech related..did government policies create these jobs..or was it the time
when technology would make leaps and bounds
ie around Darwin..ie how many people stumbled on his theory
Survival of fittest etc..
go al capone
ps I read and reread the I Ching..chinese book of wisdom written three thousand years ago..confucian..I think of the I ching as a wise grandfather who suggests how to conduct oneself to get the most out of life..it says don't diminish yourself for another when giving..because that isn't true giving..and don't take from another if they don't really have it to give..and it is not your thoughts that count but the consequences of your behavior..and you can measure yourself by the trying to be free from blame..that is success
ie. you don't have to climb mount everest to be a success or sail around the world in balloon..
ps. Karen is probably getting furious at me at this point so I had better cool it
cheers
