I have been watching what S & P ( a commitee of eight or something) has been doing with the index. They are SELLING the losers, and adding the WINNERS. This is a FORM of MOMENTUM investing that can only end badly. What is their most recent addition? AOL. AOL just spent $3B on a PORTAL. They are turning the index into what in years past was a growth or even EMERGING growth index. This is important and not being looked at by the media much. S & P is setting the stage for a REAL DISASTER.
