History aside, the big question: Is the President now desperate to do some grand thing to prop up his image in history. In my opinion, we now enter the cross hairs of a critical time. I think he has less than 10 months to really make a mark in history. There are tremendous pressures building politically ( outside the US ), world wide economically, and environmentally. With a wounded President, who has spent a life time looking out for himself, the law now means less to him. His primary motivation will be an attempt to overshadow impeachment. I would sure be more comfortable with someone not at 'ego risk' with his hand on the lives of my career military friends.
