I have owned AFF on and off since it first went to a discount. I like the mgt. and the area. What I do not like is Morgan Stanley's penchant for ripoff rights offerings that eat into your investment. They haven't pulled one lately on their CEFs because the emerging markets are still down for the past three years, despite the recent runup in some. I still buy Morgan Stanley CEFs, but I watch them closely for any signs that a rights offering may be coming. They haven't caught me yet, but that is more luck than anything else.

Anyway, other than that, I like the fund very much. I also like Southern Africa, SOA, though you get less of the entire continent with that one. I think the resources in Africa are dirt cheap and it is an area that has to emerge for the global economy to ever move up again.
