Merritt, You have quoted many of the reasons why I am waiting on this quarter's eps lies before jumping back on the money center bank puts. The other factor is that they have yet to reach new highs, which is where I prefer to buy puts. So, sometime between Feb and May I expect another great put buying opportunity in these crappy cos. Right now, I have concentrated on those more susceptible to the narrower spreads caused by the Fed's recklessness. FTU, FRE and FNM fit into that category. As do One, Fells Wargo and Nations, where I do not yet have puts. MB
