Thomas, that's simply wishful thinking on the part of the liberal media. We won't know the effect of all this until the year 2000. I believe in the intelligence of the American people that they will see through this charade of Democratic spinmiesters. :-)

It still amazes me that so many people are willing to blame Republicans for the President committing perjury, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. As if they forced him to pull his trousers down and tell Paula to suck it. :-)

The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that she had a right to a trial against a sitting President. The rest was ALL caused by Clinton's lying and trying to cover up lies. The Constitution was written to protect little Americans like Paula Jones against powerful leaders like Bill Clinton. In all this her justice and right to trial were tossed aside because of perjury and obstruction of justice.

What's also funny is I remember it wasn't too long ago that Democrats were praising Ken Starr for his judicious tempermant and honest character. Boy how times have changed.

I still can't quite figure out why the Democrats have such little faith in Al Gore becoming President though. It's not like some other party would be taking over the Presidency or something. What are Democrats going to do a year or so from now when Bill isn't around anyway? :-)

Michael

Guess you didn't read the article. It said the numbers were quite small. And most of those people changing are doing so on impulse. All that matters is the breakdown of the voting districts. The Republicans still had the majority of the votes in the last election. How many ways does it take for one to try to cook the elections? Vote fraud, redistricting, pork barrell projects, ...
