A couple of points to add to this conversation: 1. Copy/Paste is a function of the OS (Windows), not the browser. 2. The "SI Editor" is a HTML form, not an editor. Currently, there is not support for advanced editing in HTML. In other words, it's a limitation of the current state of HTML, not of the site. Of course, WP functions could be implemented via Java, but that's another rather large can of worms and other icky things.
