TO ALL: We have many great people on this thread. . . but the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Considering the thread is not yet one month old, I see a bright future as we work to help one another and NOT cannibalizing as some on SI do. If anyone wishes for some folks to buy into their selling on a stock. . .you may get stung. If you truly believe in the merits of a company, then you won't mind us feeding it to the bears so we can buy some at or below where you bought. If that bothers you, then you need to read SEC regulations regarding pump and dump and internet fraud. Working as a team with different body parts we can minimize risk. This leads to buying with confidence. . . which can lead to bigger returns. Please include DD with presentations of stocks. . .also your take on the recent events or activity. Daytrader tips should include trading ranges and expectations. Undervalued gems should include a target and time period. Long termers should include performance. Rumors should cite sources and attempts made to verify. Pre-news should cite source and expectations. Hype is fine, provided it is stated "HYPE TO FOLLOW." We have many newbies that would like to hear the ins and outs of trading, so they can be spared some of the agonizing mistakes we have all made. When the herd is moving. . . we rest. . .when the herd is buying . . we sell [because we ANTICIPATED the herd]. . .when the herd rests . . we go bargain hunting. The whole while we are peering down the road into the future. . .into possible scenarios that could develop. And we are watching the signs of such development. We are the wind . . . separating the chaff from the wheat. When big analysts [the new pump and dumpers] say buy. . . or sell. . .we look for opportunities to do just the opposite. . . this way we are on the right side of the ball. If we smell traps, by bears, by CEOs, by PR, by Cramer. . . we alert others of potential pitfalls as fast as possible. Save somebodys butt and they will watch yours. I need more folks [lurkers?] to help gather EVERYTHING possible about a stock we are looking into for big gains.. . . we want to leave NOTHING to chance. Just keep posting info and/or links, so all is in the open. We want to buy with our eyes wide open to possible traps or shortcomings...this way we will recognize them at a distance and not be surprised. Never buy because someone else is buying or telling you to buy. Do your own due diligence and make your own decisions. This way the gains or losses will be due to your knowledge and not dependant upon someone else. Being caught off guard is how we lose big money. [Any arguments there?] Likewise, the better we become as a team, at predicting the future. . .the more money we make. . . and the more we rely on one another's contributions towards the team predictions. [might want to read that again] It is a pleasure and an honor to serve such a fine group of individuals as are on this thread. . . . . .looking forward to a prosperous coming year. Rande Is
