But such an "event" will be non-traceable, non-provable. Say the event for example is May 10, Ken Griffey, Jr, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, and Mo Vaughn all reached 15 home runs and the US has baseball fever again. Who will do it this year? And people get bored with the stock market. Cause and effect in the markets is usually in the eyes of the beholder. The markets do what they do and the pundits go running looking for the "explanation."
