The Plot Thickens

This is my latest exchange with Jon (who is now emailing from Vail)

IBM=primary; Quantum=master??? this is an apples and oranges statement that has left me w/o a clue as to what is where with which OS.

I wrote back

The Quantum was always to be on the Primary IDE Contrller in Master position (with NT) and the IBM also on Primary Contrller but in Slave position with W98. The secondary controller master position is the cd-rom. I've looked thru my emailings to you and found nothing requesting these to change. I requested w98 be put in the primary slave position but thats not a change.... its an additional OS.
Now I'm really confused. Can you recall (maybe a good hot tub soak will help:-) the answers to the following...

Whats on the:
1. Primary Controller Master Position?

2. Primary Controller Slave Position?

3. Secondary Controller Master Position?

What is the:
4. Location of WinNT? Which Drive?

5. Location of Win98? Which drive?

The machine might arrive before I get this cleared up via email. But it appears now that the drives have been reversed in some manner ( the ibm primary.... Quantum master statement does not make sense to me) So whether jumpers will need to be changed or the OSs need to be moved or both will be determined when I first post the machine.

Pretty exciting....eh.... this story just won't quit<g>
