Jan-
Thanks for your telecom picks. Looks like I'm only one of many who appreciate your pick posts.

In addition to the telecom sector, which other sectors do you think will soon be rotated into, and of course, which ones will the dough be moved out of? As you know, I like the biotech sector, and Bruce pointed out that the retail sector may be attractive. My own non-P&F TA just highlighted the energy sector, and some of the charts (like NE and VRC) look similar to what you have previously called "powderkegs". The problem is that RS is deep in O's and I don't see how these stocks can give more than a fizzle in response to the conclusion of tax loss selling.

Quick movie review: "Step Mom" is worth seeing. Even my wife got tears in her eyes (usually I'm the only one with crocodile tears). "Bug's Life" is, well, if you saw "Antz" you just saw it again.

Greetings Jan, from Janten Island, err, Staten Island. Hope you had a very happy holiday. What follows is some of the latest RS (Relative Strength) status changes in the optionable stock universe. For those seeing this report for the first time, RS Signals last on average 2 - 2 1/2 years. Stocks that have turned newly bullish on their RS charts or have reversed into an up column of X's are good candidates for further study:

RS Buy Signals: Estee Lauder (1st signal), Linens and Things (1st), LUCENT (1st), Talbots (bearish since 5/95), CMG Info (1st), Alliant Tech, Mcgraw Hill, Ruby Tues, CheeseCake Factory, Clarify, E-Trade, Intuit, Linear Tech

RS Sell Signals: Rohm & Haas, Apollo Group

Bullish RS Reversing to an Up column: Kohls, Scotts, TJX, Dell (a very good sign)

RS Buy Alerts: AT&T, Bell & Howell, Capital One, Chase Manhattan, Action Performance, Idec Pharm, Siebel Systems

Take care,
Bruce

P&F:

i've followed FISV for a long time, bought on a dip

the corporate office is in my backyard

have met several of the investment reps at local seminars

they are very investor orientated

they lose less than 2% of their client base

and a strong history of well thought out aquisitions that have strenghted the company and expanded product

thanks for infoming of value line timeliness, great to hear
