Jay, Len, and all,

Wow. An hour into this program and I've got a net running that seems to be doing very well in the verification set. I'm impressed with this approach. I set up a net on AMAT using TXX as a related index using some of the starting settings that Jay put forth in post number 503 and I've already got a net that is doing much better than buy and hold in the verification period with most of the verification data points on the diagonal. Where in the heck do I set the trading strategy though? I can't seem to find it in the menus and the help doc doesn't seem to say.

I signed up for the first upgrade, the registered NS6S. Can't go wrong for $15 with 100% transfer to future upgrades huh?

Bob,

Having gone down the upgrade path myself, I think I can answer part of your question.

First, I don't think you'll get an accurate picture of what NeuroStock can do using anything less than the 20 Neuron version. And there is a noticeable benefit in upgrading from NS20s to NS40s. The confidence factor is available with the registered shareware versions.

So I'd recommend using NS40s (or NS20s) to evaluate the technology and then decide if you want to invest further in the product.

I am curious myself to know if anyone has any opinions on NeuroshellTrader or Profit compared to the more advanced NeuroStock versions.

Hi Bob, and welcome to the thread. If I remember correctly, I believe that I may have posted to you over on the WOW thread sometime ago. Sorry for not answering sooner, but for some reason, I just didn't check the thread yesterday.

Should I play around with the NS6S version for very long or am I wasting my time

Its too limited for good nets. The only thing it is good for is what it was designed to do, give you an idea of how the program works.

What version should I start with

To make decent nets you should have at least 20 neurons and 40 neurons is much better, so much so, that I would recommend starting at 40 and then upgrading from there. If you want to do actual trading with the program, you should have the commercial version. Seeing the last ten days of the chart is a must for trading. You will also get other features that aren't included in the cheaper versions. Get the shareware version if you just want to play around with it and test it.

I've developed a few indicators and successful trading systems using WOW

I would be very interested in hearing about them. I am trying to develop my own and am having some difficulties with the formulas and settings. E-mail or private message me on this subject.
