But is this possible? Isn't @home owned by TCI? Will the cable service providers allow AOL to control the @home service and roll it out via their networks?

ATHM is majority owned by TCI, who just got bought out by AT&T. If the FCC declares that every ISP have equal access to the cable pipes AOL will be the big winner. It will also give the signal that ATHM investors like myself have to jump ship and move into AOL for it will dominate the world of internet access.

that is why AT&T wanted & offered to buy AOL since they will own TCI in 6 months. It could have been a beautiful marriage in my opinion that would send both stock to the stratosphere but Steve Case say no way, no how, and never
